Who I am
With over 20 years of product development experience, I bring the confidence and expertise to guide your product from concept to market. I’ve led hardware development at both a $1.5B publicly traded company and scrappy early-stage startups, delivering products under tight budgets and even tighter timelines. My specialty is bridging visionary concepts with practical, manufacturable designs, especially in the uncertain, fast-moving early stages where definition and direction matter most.
I hold mechanical engineering degrees from Columbia University and Carnegie Mellon University, and my career has spanned industries from consumer products and robotics to manufacturing equipment and green energy. Along the way, I’ve seen firsthand how strong product foundations unlock company growth. At Uncharted Power, my work enabled the company’s first successful public installation of its technology. At Eos Energy Storage, my designs were the company’s sole commercial product, sold, installed, and successfully operated throughout my tenure, forming the backbone of its business.
I founded Operative Engineering to provide critical support during these pivotal phases of development. My role is to help you build a solid foundation for your product and company, ensuring every engineering decision serves the long-term mission. Like the Operative that inspired the name, my goal is to leave things better than I found them, even if I won’t be the one inhabiting them.
I’m always eager to discuss your toughest challenges and explore how we can bring clarity, momentum, and success to your product journey.
